Your wordbook
Saved words are stored in local storage on this browser. The application does not send your wordbook to a server or synchronise it between devices. Removing a saved word updates that storage. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the wordbook. You can download a text copy from My wordbook.
Searches and hosting
Searching loads a word page and may request autocomplete suggestions from this site. Your search term appears in those request URLs. The hosting provider may process request information such as IP addresses, URLs and browser details for delivery, security and operational logs. This application does not include advertising scripts or third-party analytics.
Pronunciation and links
The listen button uses your browser’s built-in speech service. Depending on the browser and selected voice, that service may use a network connection. External source and licence links open other websites with their own policies.
Preview access
When this site is hosted as a private ChatGPT Sites preview, the hosting platform controls sign-in and access. That access layer is separate from the local wordbook. A public deployment of the application does not require an account for dictionary features.
